(Regular monthly meeting)
17 years already! On the 6 of December 2006, the Cultural, social, and Golden Age Association of Kazabazua (CSGAAK) has been created to support our young library in Kazabazua, which at that time, focused the majority of their time to cultural activities: art, cooking, gardening, children's stories, interview local authors and celebrating traditional holidays.
The Cultural, Social Association and Golden Age of Kazabazua is the major actor in the relocation of the library from the basement of the municipality to its current place, in the center of the village. The building was acquired by the association for the municipality but was renovated and extended in large part by volunteers of the Association, directed by the master's hands, Mr. Robert Bergeron, the President of the Association. It's since then, that the Cultural Center and Library was recognized by the village and supported by the municipality. The Library opens 5 days a week and is a place where a passionate group persons meet regularly for painting and crafts activities and groups of youth also meet each week thanks to the Be and Become Program previously known as Kaz Media.
It is also there that we organize public activities like our semi-annual used books sale, plan our Cranberry Festival, book clubs, etc.
Thank you to all our volunteers who, for 10 years, still participate in the association. This association was created by volunteers and remains still managed by volunteers.
Other future projects are still in the planning stage which will permit us to continue to grow.
This is what the Cultural, social, and Golden Age Association of Kazabazua is all about
